Over the River and Through the Woods

We were glad to be able to go to Carrie and Ryan's home for their 1st Christmas.
If you look carefully you can see both Christmas trees in the windows.

We had fun playing Settlers, I'm not sure how many times we played but I do remember winning once.

We went to the Grand Ole Opry Hotel and walked around to see the Christmas directions.

We saw these people trying to hide behind the waterfall.

Carrie and Ryan.

Carrie found this ornament in one of the shops there.
"Our 1st Christmas"

Puppies and Other Fun Stuff

One look at Oreo's face will tell you how excited all of us were to see Golden Retriever puppies at Carrie's neighbor's when we got home from church.
There's nothing Oreo likes better than puppies!
Here Oreo gets a sweet puppy kiss.

CUTE!!!
They had two puppies!
We tried to trade them for a Siamese kitten but they weren't interested.
I think some one needs a puppy!
This is Carrie and Ryans office room.
We had fun with the computers, video games and TVs here.
Carrie in lights!
Ryan likes to cook! Who knew?
He makes great potatoe salad, and waffles, and muffins, and ....
he does dishes!
Grant in his paisly shirt.

Grant has eyebrow issues.

We had a good trip and a great time at Carrie and Ryans but we sure were glad to get home and see this sight.

Santa's Helpers

Getting ready for Christmas is more fun when its a group effort.
Skye really liked wrapping presents.
Lynx was in charge of ribbons and bows.
"Here, let me shred that ribbon for you!"
Lily and Myrrh helped pack the box to mail to Uncle Lester's house.

They even managed to fit a pesky kitten into the box.
Uncle Lester's doggies need a challenge.
Tape it shut quick!
Lily under the tree.

Mia waiting for Santa.
Oops, looks like Skye's not going to Uncle Lester's after all.

This is what I call Peace on Earth.

Burrsprize!*!

Last weekend we woke up covered in leaves.
Today was a little different.
This massive amount of snow warrented a 2 hour delay for school today.
You can see the roads are trecherous.
When we bought this house we thought."Oh good, a sledding hill."
hehehe
Iceberg Cabbages

And here's a sight you only see in the South.
Nothing says "Winter" like snow on the Pampas grass and Palmettos.

Zoe's Quilt

I made this little quilt
for a special little girl.
Zoe lives very far away in Prague.
December 7 will be her 1st birthday.
I hope it gets there in time.
Myrrh and Sheba checked it carefully.

It appears to be warm and snuggly

Self Portraits

I have been practicing with the camera to do self portraits.
Then there is the added challenge of holding a cat.
Cuz' who wants a pic by themselves.
Must have cute sidekick.
Maggie is more co-operative.
She even smiles.
I had some pics of Oreo but they are always blurry.

The Next Level

This is a book I read recently, I wish I could buy every one I know a copy.
It offers insight into the character of God and can help anyone trying to figure out what they should be doing with their lives.
You must buy your own at the first opportunity.

Happy Windy Sabbath

We woke up to a warm windy day. We have had rain for two days and strong thunder storms last night. There was a large limb down right in front of my car.
(If you click on this pic you can see my "got siamese?" decal)
Solomon loves it when we come outside with him.

Lyns tries to blend into the scenery.

Maggie would blend in if she held still long enough.

Jilly found a leave that made its way into the kitchen.

Leaf, caught and killed. Good kitty!
